Kalametiya Fisheries harbour is one of the largest seafood harvesting point in the area. You can pay a simple visit to the harbour and bargain a good price on fresh fish and bring it to us where we will cook it for you in a way you prefer.

Kalametiya Bird Sanctuary is one of the unique bird watching experience due to its unique location. Kalametiya lagoon is a brim water lagoon which houses many endemic and migrant birds varies to different seasons. You can experience the bird watching safari on a traditional paddle boat which is eco friendly and non disturbing to bird habitats.

Kalametiya Bird Sanctuary on Foot

Kalametiya Bird Sanctuary is spread throughout the village and luckily one end is just at the end of Gurupokuna lake that is located in front of the Grand Villa. during dry periods you can take a walk not more than 800 meters and reach the wet part of the lagoon which is filled with birds. Yet Sanctuary starts just 100 meters from the Villa which also attract birds to Gurupokuna lake which you can observe from the garden.
